Canadian Studies Student Organization

MSU Canadian Studies Student Organization (CSSO) is a student led initiative based from the Canadian Studies Center at Michigan State University. The goal of this organization is to bring students together, both Canadian and otherwise, to foster a growing relationship between the United States and Canada.

Current Events:

  • September 12: First Canada Club meeting of the year!
  • September 19: Canada Club meeting
  • September 21: Canadian Studies Center hosts International Coffee at the International Center

Activites During 2012:

  • January 28 - CSSO Ice Skating Event at Munn
  • February 8 - CSSO Kickoff Meeting at the International Center
  • February 22 - CSSO Meeting at the International Center
  • February 24 - CSSO Ice Skating Event at Munn
  • March 14 - CSSO Meeting at the International Center
  • March 20 - Free Bowling with the Canada Club
  • March 28 - CSSO Meeting at the International Center
  • March 31 - April 1 - Diversity Themed Field Trip to Canada and Detroit
  • April 11 - CSSO Meeting at the International Center
  • April 24 - Get to Know Canada Day
  • April 25 - CSSO Last Meeting of the Semester Picnic
  • May 15 - Global Logistics Conference
  • May 16 - CSC Advisory Board Meeting
  • Jul 3 - Celebrate Canada Day!


Stay Connected:

CSSO has also formed a student led Facebook group. The Facebook group helps those who are interested in Canadian Studies keep informed on discussions and activities sponsored by the Center. It also serves as a social network venue for members of the student group, alumni, and university faculty.
