Teaching Canada in the United States

Five College of Education students are Joyce Scholarship Essay Contest winners. The contest, named after William W. Joyce, professor emeritus of teacher education at Michigan State University, involved students submitting a 2,000-word essay entitled "Teaching Canada:..." which would tie in Canada to a lesson series or plan. Dr. Joyce served as the director of the Canadian Studies Center years before retiring, but remained on the advisory council to the center. This may possibly be the one and only year this scholarship opportunity may be offered.
