I really enjoyed my time in Japan and would recommend it to adventurous souls who love exploring new things. My favorite memory in Japan would likely be getting Shabu shabu with my group. I still talk to people about how much I laughed that day. Throughout the process, there were many challenges to overcome, such as culture shock, a language barrier, and expanding my views as a teacher. All of this made me a stronger individual, and professionally has shaped my views and goals as a teacher.
